Very nice staff behind the pro shop counter and on the course. Course has a nice layout and could be amazing if they manicured the course. From my photos this was only a couple holes but the entire course is plagued with crab grass and weeds. Many approaches had tall weeds and bare spots. Tee boxes were in very rough shape. Overall they need to adjust their rates for the condition of this course. My father, son and I played Peninsula Golf course two days prior and paid less in green fees for a much more premium experience.
I’ve been coming to Gulf Shores for 30 years and this is the first time I’ve ever played here. The course is a good layout, and was in pretty good condition. The greens rolled pretty smooth, even with some slight imperfections. Not as fast as I’d like but still better than I thought they’d be. I teed off at 1150 and the course was nearly empty. The round comes with range balls - but you have to hit off a mat. Good short game practice area and putting green. You also get a yardage book your first round. Decent pro shop and the folks working there were very nice. The grill looked nice although I only had drinks. Lots of water stations on the course. Active duty military gets $49 rate so it’s hard to beat that, especially with Peninsula, Kiva Dunes, and Craft Farms all being so expensive. I will definitely be back.
Save your money and go play at one of the multiple nicer courses around the area. Not well maintained and can pay just slightly more to play Craft farms, Peninsula, or Kiva. Go to Gulf Shores Golf Club if you enjoy poor hospitality and practice facilities not worth your time.
Beautiful course. Very well kept. Hubby played 18 holes while I escorted him on the cart (fun for me). Unfortunately, there was a significant miscommunication but the golf course touched base with us and went above and beyond to make things right. We are currently out on the course for the second day and look forward to the rest of our time here.
If you have any issues, I’m certain they will do everything they can to make it right.
Had a great chilly round of golf with three very nice strangers. The course is in great shape - well maintained bunker and greens. There are some wet areas in the fairways but nothing too bad. It’s a nice layout and an easy course but still enough diversity to keep you interested.
I paid $55 for a Friday round that includes the range balls. Everyone I came in contact with was super nice including the starter, ranger and cart girl. I had lunch after the round - a club sandwich - and it was tasty and reasonably priced. Overall I think this is a good course and very reasonably priced for what you get.
A great track to play when you are visiting or a resident. The course is in great shape, plays fair, and greens are pure. Fairways are wide open and full of risk reward. This course is a great value in Gulf Shores! We will be back and highly recommend!
Great little course that has very forgiving fairways. Greens were in great shape, minus #1. Overall is a very fun course to play. Staff was so nice and helpful, even a little badgering about our TN colors. Will definitely play again
Very challenging greens, but forgiving fairways. Staff was awesome and the food was really good. Really enjoyed everything besides my score! Prices were also very fair on everything.
